  117. Follow these instructions to put a CD-ROM in the caddy, insert  the caddy, and turn on the AppleCD SC.
  118.  
  119. 1.  Open the caddy. 
  120.  
  121.      Hold the caddy so that the 
  122.      thumb and middle finger of 
  123.      one hand are pressing in 
  124.      on the sides of the case 
  125.      where it says Open.  
  126.      Use your other hand to open 
  127.      the lid. 
  128.  
  129. 2.  Put the CD-ROM in the 
  130.      caddy label side up.
  131.        
  132.       Try not to touch the bottom 
  133.       surface of the CD-ROM as 
  134.       you transfer it from the 
  135.       jewel case to the caddy.  
  136.       It's best if you handle it 
  137.       like a phonograh record‚Äî
  138.       by the edges.  
  139.       Tip the front edge of the 
  140.       CD-ROM down 
  141.       slightly as you insert it so it 
  142.       doesn't catch on the ledge 
  143.       of the caddy. 
  144.  
  145. 3.  Turn on the AppleCD SC.  
  146.       Do this before turning on 
  147.       your computer.
  148.  
  149.               IMPORTANT
  150. If there are other SCSI devices connected to your computer, be sure that the first and last devices on the SCSI chain are also turned on.
  151.  
  152. 4.  Turn ON your computer.
  153.  
  154. 5.  Put the caddy containing 
  155.       your CD-ROM in the 
  156.       AppleCD SC.
  157.  
  158.       Insert the caddy in the 
  159.       AppleCD SC with the label 
  160.       facing up, shutter end first.
  161.  
  162. 6.  Follow the instructions that 
  163.      come with the CD-ROM 
  164.      being used.
